What is DAUB?
Established in December 1972, the German Tunnelling Committee works on the development and standardization of techniques in underground construction. The main tasks are:
- co-ordinating work in the field of underground construction
- collecting and disseminating technical information pertaining to underground construction
- proposing, selecting and assessing research and development work
- predicting needs and collecting planning data for future projected underground structures
- involvement in setting up laws, standards, guidelines, safety regulations etc.
- promoting the training of engineers in the field of underground construction
- participating in international projects, which deal with underground construction.
Executive Management
Dr.-Ing. Roland Leucker has been elected by the table as Executive Manager for a 3 years period on October 23rd, 2008.
The Organisation has its registered office in Cologne, Germany.
