Recommendations for Design and Operation of Shield Machines(Tunnel 6/00) These recommendations were drafted in co-operation with the tunnelling committees of Austria and Switzerland and recommended to be followed there. Pointers for the technical limits of application for individual systems and components as well as optimised possibilities of adjustment for operation and changing geotechnical marginal conditions are provided especially for shield excavation. The explanations and terms relate to the previous «Recommendations for selecting and evaluating Tunnel Boring Machines». All interested colleagues are invited to scrutinise them at length and then put forward any additions and corrections. | 123kb | |
