BIM Model Requirements, Part 2: Information Management

(currently available in german only)

The DAUB recommendation "Digital Design, Construction and Operation of Underground Structures - BIM in Underground Construction", published in May 2019, was created with the objective of providing a basic understanding of the application of BIM in underground construction. Based on this recommendation, the publication of the Model Requirements Part 1 followed one year later, which deals with the basic understanding of the model structure with uniform designations for objects typical for tunnel construction and associated object information.

The DAUB is now following up with another paper that explains the basic understanding of information management and shows that by means of uniform structures and processes, the exchange of information, information management and the provision of information in project handling in underground construction are significantly improved.

All DAUB recommendations (divided into the subsections BIM, Contract, Excavation, Support, Health and Safety and Withdrawn) can be found in the download area.

The new recommendation has been assigned to the subsection "BIM (Building information modeling)".
