The DAUB recommendation "Digital Design, Construction and Operation of Underground Structures - BIM in Underground Construction", published in May 2019, was created with the objective of providing a basic understanding of the application of BIM in underground construction. Based on this recommendation, the publication of the Model Requirements Part 1 followed one year later, which deals with the basic understanding of the model structure with uniform designations for objects typical for tunnel construction and associated object information.
The model requirements Part 2: Information Management were published on 26 August 2022. This part has now been revised and replaces the previous version. The recommendation explains basic information management structures and explains how standardised structures and processes can be used to significantly improve the exchange of information, information management and the provision of information in underground construction project management.
All DAUB recommendations (divided into the subsections BIM, Contract, Excavation, Support, Health and Safety and Withdrawn) can be found in the download area.
The revised recommendation has been assigned to the subsection "BIM (Building information modeling)".
